Robert Meets TUFF Puppy

(It was a stormy night and the everyone was heading to bed. I was on my laptop looking for something to watch.)

Me: *sighs* "The internet can provide all sorts of fun stuff, expect getting out of a mind blank."

(Just then, I noticed a video of an episode of Tuff Puppy.)

Me: "Eh, might as well watch it. I wonder why many of my DA friends have made OCs for the show."

(At that moment, a bolt of lightning hit a telephone pole and traveled through the wire. Instead of a power outage, a large white hole appeared in front of my laptop and began sucking me in!)

Me: *being dragged in* "SOMEBODY HELP!"

(But it was no use, before long I was completely sucked in and through the portal and saw all kinds of crazy images. Finally, after a flash of light, I woke up and found myself inside a large building with anthropomorphic animals inside. Then, I looked at my hands that they had become paws! I was an anthropomorphic rough collie!)

Me: *screams* "Although I do look adorable. *screams*


(At that moment, Cal walked in.)

Cal: "What is going on here?"

Me: *sees him* "Who are you?"

Cal: *shows him his TUFF badge* "I'm Cal Lewis. I'm a member of TUFF."

Me: *nervously* "Look, this isn't what it looks like!"  

Cal: "What's wrong?"

Me: "Well, lets just see here. A portal opened up that sucked me into an animated show created by Butch Hartman about anthropomorphic animals! Sorry if that sounds crazy, but this doesn't happen in the real world."

Cal: "Hey I'm from the real world too."

Me: *takes a closer look* "Now that you mention it, you do look familiar."

Cal: "I see."

Me: "My name's Robert, but you can call me Bob."

Cal: "Nice to meet you, Bob." *shakes my hand*

Me: "Likewise. I heard about you and your friend."

Cal: "You did."

Me: "Yep."

Cal: "Cool."


(Just then, Dudley, Kitty, Keswick, and Chief appeared with their weapons.)

Chief: "Hey. Who's that guy?"

Dudley: "I don't know, but he does look handsome!"

Kitty: "I know."

Me: *bashfully* "Why, thank you."

Dudley: "You're welcome."

Kitty: "So who is he and how did he get here?"

Dudley: "Yeah?"

Cal: "His name is Robert, but you can call him Bob"

Me: "I heard a lot about you. How you keep defending Petropolis from evil."

Kitty: "Wow."

Me: "So, is there any trouble?"

Kitty: "Well, the chief will let us know if there's any trouble."

Me: "I hope it doesn't come soon. Not to sound lazy or ignorant, its just that I'm still trying to adjust what just happened."

Cal: "Okay."


(All of a sudden, a black portal opened up inside the building. It showed my room.)

Cal: Is that your place?"

Me: "Why, yes it is. I know what you're thinking already and the answer is no. I'm not an orphan who is looking for a new home. Where I live is a nice place, but I can't tell you where I live for safety reasons."

Chief: "At least you live in a good home."

Keswick: "Yeah, but it's a real sh-sh-sh-shame that you can't stay wi-wi-wi-with us."

Cal: "Yeah. Why not stay for a while?"

Me: "I wish I could, but I'm not sure how long the portal will stay open. Even if its quick and it closes, I don't know if it would reopen."

Cal: "I see and I understand."

Me: "Thanks for understanding. Though I get the feeling I will see you again."

Cal: "That's great to hear."

Me: "See you around, Cal. Remember to keep protecting the city."

Cal: "I will."

Me: "Good." *waves goodbye and gives a thumbs up as I head into the portal*

Cal: "I won't forget you, Robert."

TUFF agents: "Neither will we."

Me: "I know you won't." *jumps into the portal and it closes*


(When I jumped back in the real world, I was surprised to find that only a few minutes have gone by.)

Me: "Guess its good that time flows the same for some worlds. Well, time for bed."

(I turn off my laptop, got myself comfortable, and went to sleep.)

Me: *thinking* "Even though it was brief, I'm glad to have met you in person Cal."
