Iris' Balloon Belly

Iris is a girl with a wild streak. Literally, she played with wild Pokémon not far from her home village, the Village of Dragons. She even swings around the trees and vines in the forest. But she's not alone, because she carries an axew with her. Iris also used to travel with Ash. Through her journey she has won the Club Battle and even conquered her fear of ice-type Pokémon.


However, like many of Ash's traveling companions, it doesn't mean they no longer go strange encounters.

One day, Iris was swinging through the forest.

Iris: *phew* "That sure was fun, I think I'm gonna relax a little. What do you think, axew?"

Axew shook it's head in a "yes" gesture.

Iris: *climbs down tree* "I'm glad you agree, because I'm exhausted."


She soon found a nice spot and decided to nap beside a tree.

Little did she know, a vileplume walked by. It was in full bloom, which meant that it was spouting out pollen.

When Iris finally woke up, she couldn't believe her eyes.

Her belly was so bloated, she could barely stand up straight!

Iris: "What the heck is this?! *looks at footprints left behind by vileplume* I recognize those footprints, those must belong to a vileplume! *wobbles a little* Woahh!"

Axew runs over and tries to hold her steady.

Iris: "As long as I look like this, I can't swing! I'll just have to wait until the swelling subsides."


She decided to call out her excadrill to act as a guard. She wanted to make sure that no more vileplume would come in her direction.

Both of her Pokémon kept a constant eye out for any intruders.

Their hard work and dedication to their owner eventually paid off, as the effects of the pollen wore off.

Iris: "Thank you for making sure I was safe."

This made axew and excadrill smile.

Iris: "Lets go guys!" *grabs a vine and swings, her Pokémon follow her*
