Dawning Blimp

Dawn is from a town called Twinleaf. Like May, she is a Pokémon coordinator and a former traveling companion of Ash. The two even battled each other at the Wallace Cup. It was a hearty battle, but eventually it was Dawn who stood victorious. But the two rivals are good friends. Ever since she left Ash's team, she has been doing well. However, that doesn't mean she doesn't go through strange adventures.

On one day, this proved to be true. Dawn and her piplup were out and about in a local market.

Piplup pointed at a local shop that sold poffins. Dawn happily went to the shop for her companion.

Once at the shop, she noticed something. There was a poffin that she had never seen before.

Dawn: "Why does that poffin look different from the rest?"

Shopkeeper: "It's because this is a poffin that people can eat. So far I had no such luck in selling it."

Dawn thought about what the shopkeeper had said.

Dawn: "I'd gladly take it off your hands, sir. I'd like to give it a try."

Piplup was happy of her decision.

Shopkeeper: "Thank you! As a bonus, it and the other poffins will be free of charge."

Dawn: "Why, thank you."


Soon Dawn and her piplup found a nice place to have a picnic.

The food was delicious, but the poffins were the best part.

After they've eaten, both of them were ready to go back home.

But Dawn felt a funny feeling inside her. Suddenly, her body inflated like a balloon!

Dawn: "Eeek! I'm a balloon girl!'

Her piplup was frightened of what was happening.

She than began to float to the sky, but she grabbed piplup's flipper.

Unfortunately, piplup wasn't strong enough. She decided to release her mamoswine.

She and piplup grabbed hold of its tusks so that she couldn't get any higher.


Dawn thought that the reason why she was in her ballooned state was because of the poffin.

Dawn: "That could be the only reason. I guess I'll just have to hold on tight until this thing hopefully wears off."

After about an hour, she finally deflated back to her normal figure.

Her Pokémon were glad that she wasn't hurt.

Dawn: "I'm glad that it's over, but I hope that someday they'll make poffins for people too. Of course without the side effects."

She and her Pokémon share a laugh as they head back home.
